2. Spinocloidea fasciata (Brunner v. Wattenwyl, 1907: 323 ) [ Dyme ]. HT, ♂: Juanfué; Coll. Br. v. W., Alto Amazonas; Staudinger; det. Br. v. W., Dyme fasciata ; 18.979 [NHMW, No. 648].
Remarks: The very short median segment, which is less than 0.2x the length of the metanotum, characteristic colouration of the head, which is just scarcely longer than wide place this species in Spinocloidea gen. n. Unfortunately, the unique holotype has suffered considerable damage since it’s description and lacks the five terminal abdominal segment. The generic affiliation however is also supported by the very brief description of the terminalia presented by Brunner v. Wattenwyl (1907: 323) “ Segmentum nonum marginibus inferioribus pallidis rectis. Cerci apice curvati ”, which also fits this new genus. The type-locality “Alto Amazonas” lies within the Loreto Region of north-eastern Peru and although this region borders Ecuador to the north-west and Colombia to the north it must be regarded as doubtful. Body length according to Brunner v. Wattenwyl (1907: 323) 70.0 mm.
Distribution: NE-Peru, Dept. Loreto, Province Alto Amazonas [NHMW].
