4. Spinocloidea magnifica (Hebard, 1923: 123, pl. 6: 7–8) [ Dyme ]. HT, ♀: Changuinola Dist., Boc. Toro, Panama; 21. May, 1924, J.C. Bradley, Col. Cornell Univ., Lot 700 S. 27; Dyme magnifica Hebard , Type 1231, Hebard Cln [ANSP]. comb. n. ( Figs. 77D View FIGURE 77 , 78E, 78R–T View FIGURE 78 )

Remarks: A ♀ from Fortuna, Chiriquí in the collection of MIUP is likely to represent the opposite sex of S. magnifica . The specimen however is in fairly bad and incomplete condition with the abdomen shrivelled and lacking both hind legs and the left mid leg. A confirmation of this attribution however deserves specimens of both sexes from the same locality, why the specimen is not described in detail herein and disregarded in the keys below. It is plain drab in colour with the abdomen somewhat darker and faint pale annulations on the nesofemora, which lack a sub-basal lobe. The mesonotum bears about 16 small to medium spines and the meso- and metapleurae each have a longitudinal row of short, conical spines. The subgenital plate is rather short, obtuse and projects beyond the apex of the abdomen by no more than the length of the anal segment. Body length ca. 160.0 mm.

Distribution: NW-Panama, Bocas del Toro, Changuinola District [ANSP]; NW-Panama, Chririquí, Fortuna [MIUP].
