4. Phanocloidea ibaguena ( Giglio-Tos, 1910: 39) View in CoL [ Bacteria ]. HT, ♀: Colombia, Ibagua; D. Griffini; Bacteria ibaguena ♀ Tipo Gigl. Tos [MCSN].
Remarks: This species is remarkable for having a very short subgenital plate, which merely reaches to the posterior margin of abdominal tergum IX, and a fairly short median segment. Due to the HT shows some damage of the abdominal terminalia caused by dermestid beetles an egg can be seen. This is angular, strongly sculptured, has a large capitulum and an elongate, dark micropylar plate, hence matching well with known eggs of Phanocloidea . Very similar in most aspects to the Venezuelan P. gracilis ( Burmeister, 1838) and merely differing from ♀♀ of that species by the pair of cephalic spines and more distinctly tubercular thoracic segments. More material of both taxa is necessary for delimiting whether these differnces lie within the range of intraspecific variability of an individual species.
Distribution: Colombia, Tolíma, Ibagué [MCSN].
