Differentiation. The anatomically most similar and potentially most closely related genera are the two South American Globocalynda Zompro, 2001 and Laciphorus Redtenbacher, 1908 . Females of Bostriana ( Fig. 12A View FIGURE 12 ) readily differ from those of these two genera by the very short and small subgenital plate which only reaches about half way along abdominal tergum X ( Figs. 12D–E View FIGURE 12 ), the very distinct praeopercular organ at the posterior margin of abdominal sternum VII ( Figs. 12D–E View FIGURE 12 ) and the fine but acute medio-longitudinal keel of the mesosternum ( Fig. 85A View FIGURE 85 ). Furthermore, Bostriana does not show the enlarged gonoplacs seen in either genus and the cerci are notably longer and project beyond the apex of the abdomen by more than half the length of the anal segment ( Fig. 12A View FIGURE 12 ). Males of this genus ( Fig. 12B View FIGURE 12 ) are well characterised by the distinctive morphology of the terminalia. While the strongly laterally deflexed abdominal tergum IX has the posterolateral angles protruded into an obtuse, spiniform projection and readily distinguishes Bostriana from either genus ( Fig. 12G View FIGURE 12 ), the laterally compressed apex of the poculum is also seen in some species of Globocalynda . However, in Bostriana the lateral margins are strongly downcurved and declining in lateral aspect and the apex is deeply split medially to form two digitiform processes ( Fig. 12H View FIGURE 12 ). Moreover, the anal segment is strongly widening towards the posterior margin and trapezoidal in dorsal aspect ( Fig. 12F View FIGURE 12 ), a feature not seen in the other two genera which have the anal segment narrower and much more tectate longitudinally. The eggs ( Fig. 98F View FIGURE 98 ) resemble those of both genera but differ by the somewhat more elongate and somewhat bullet-like capsule.
Comments. The original description of this monotypic genus presented by Hennemann, Conle & Valero (2021: 2), is detailed and sufficient, thus it is not repeated here.
Distribution ( Fig. 101D View FIGURE 101 ). Eastern Central Bolivia (Departemento de Santa Cruz, Prov. Sara 350–750 m & Prov. Andrés Ibáñez).
