2. Jeremiodes colombianus Conle, Hennemann & Gutierréz, 2011: 177 View in CoL , figs. A–D. HT, ♀: 15429 CMXVIII; Co Cal Vda Cariaño, Ertradomicilio, manual, 860 msnm, 22. Ene / 2002, Efrain [ CEUA]; PT, ♀ (penultimate instar): Chocó, Quibdo, Tutunendo, Oct /05, cabaña est. [ ANDES-E] .
Remarks: The collection of ANSP contains a mutilated ♂ from Barro Colorado Island, Panama. The specimen is very likely the opposite sex of this species but is here excluded from the key above, because important morphological key features (e. g. the entire abdomen) are missing. The granulose mesonotum and fairly globose and granulose head fit well with J. colombianus and a distribution from central Panama in the north to nortwestern Colombia in the south is known from various other phasmid species, hence is not unusual. The specimen strongly resembles the ♂ of J. costaricensis sp. n. and is fairly large for the genus. It is basically green and brown in colour with the mesonotum having a slight blueish wash and a faint brown longitudinal median line, the mesopleurae are slightly pinkish, the head plain ochre, the tibiae plain dark brown and the meso- and metafemora green with the apex brown.
Distribution: Colombia, Dept. Caldas, Vereda Cariaño, 860 m [CEUA]; N-Colombia, Dept. Chocó, Tutunendo [ANDES- E]; Columbien, Hacienda Pehlke [ZMPA]; Panama, Prov. Panamá, Canal Zone, Barro Colorado Island [ANSP].
