Colletes packeri Kuhlmann, 2015
( Figs 8D View FIGURE 8 , 11A–F, 39C)
Colletes packeri Kuhlmann in Kuhlmann & Proshchalykin 2015: 91 (holotype ♂: Thailand, Trang Na Yong, Khao Chong [PCYU]).
Colletes packeri ; Ascher & Pickering 2021.
by face and mesosomal dorsum without black hairs and T2–T3 apical bands narrower than MOD in lateral view. Colletes packeri is most similar to C. floralis , however, the females of the former are distinct in having the malar area 0.4× as long as basal width of mandible (malar area 0.6× as long as basal width of mandible in the latter) and the hind basitarsus with dark setae (hind basitarsus with pale setae in the latter). Males of the two species can be differentiated by the malar area 0.75× as long as basal width of mandible in C. packeri (malar area 1.25× as long as basal width of mandible in C. floralis ) and the gonostylus concave dorsally in C. packeri (gonostylus nearly straight dorsally in C. floralis ).

Remarks. Contrary to what Kuhlmann & Proshchalykin (2015) asserted, none of the males from Yunnan ( China) previously identified as C. sodalis by Niu et al. (2013b) revealed to be C. packeri . Nonetheless, C. packeri is herein confirmedly recorded in China for the first time.
