Habitat and distribution in Iran – Mazandaran Province, honey bee hives ( Mossadegh 1997; Kamali et al. 2001); Tehran, Golestan, Sistan and Baluchestan Provinces, bird nests (Ardeshir et al. 2010); Golestan Province (Gorgan), soil ( Malek-Shahkouyi et al. 2011; Kazemi and Rajaei 2013).

World Distribution – Egypt, Fiji, Germany, Iran, Italy, Mexico, Scotland and Slovakia ( Santos et al. 2023).
