Diagnostic characters. E. parallelogrammus is the only species within its group with two subspecies. The aedeagus is characterised by a much smaller apex than the diameter of the phallobase which is very sclerotised and elongated. The parameres are asymmetric but not as much exaggerated as in the other group of Endustomus . The dorsal (transparent) membranes of the apical dorsal margin, on the other hand, are very developed and in these species project beyond the fountain-shaped parameres ( Figs. 19A‒19C View FIGS ).
Distribution. Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia.
