Notes
A western species occuring in Central and southern Europe and reaching northern Africa ( Hansen 2004). The species was recorded from Turkey (Bayburt, Çorum, Erzurum, Erzincan, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Ordu, Samsun, Tokat, Trabzon) (Incekara ˙ et al. 2002, 2004a; Mart et al. 2010b; Polat et al. 2010; Darilmaz, Salur, et al. 2010). Two specimens were sent to Dr Robert Angus for checking of their identification. His answer was that the specimens, without any doubt, belonged to Helophorus dorsalis (Marsham, 1802) .
