Malachius bellulus Guérin-Méneville, 1838: 78 .
Remarks. This common Australian species has been credited to Guérin-Méneville (1830) but the description by Boisduval (1835) should be given precedence due to the printing delay of the Insecta part by Guérin-Méneville to 1838 ( Cretella 2010). Interestingly Boisduval cites Guérin-Méneville as the author of the species with correct page (78).
