Description and illustration:— Seifert (1985).
Habitat:—On dead woody substrata, Acer sp. , Betula lutea , Prunus sp. , Sorbus commixta , and Zelkova serrata .
Distribution:—Asia ( China, Japan).
Notes:— Nectria asiatica is known only from China and Japan. In China, its specimens and isolates were examined by Zhuang, culture CBS 126568 = A.R. 4639 ( Hirooka et al. 2011). This species is characterized by 1- septate ascospores, short stipitate sporodochia, and ellipsoidal, budding mature conidia slightly constricted at septum ( Seifert 1985).
