Nectria aurantiaca (Tul. & C. Tul.) Jacz., Opredelitel Gribov View in CoL , t. 1, p. 215. 1913.

Description and illustration:— Hirooka et al. (2012).

Habitat:—On dead twigs of species of Ulmaceae ( Ulmus campestris and Ulmus sp. ), also on Planera sp. ( Ulmaceae ) as reported by Seifert (1985).

Distribution:—Asia ( China), Europe ( Czech Republic, France, UK).

Notes:— Seifert (1985) examined this type specimen and described the species with 1-septaete, striate ascospores, long stipitate sporodochia, conidia rarely 1-septate, oblong-ellipsoidal to cylindrical, sometimes with a truncate base. By contrast, the description for HMAS 33574 differs from Seifert’s in terms of shorter ascospores (13.7–16.4 μm vs. 18–30 μm) ( Zhuang 2013).
