Distribution. Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama ( GBIF 2022a). The published U.S. record is based on a mislabelled and misidentified specimen of Palaina taeniolata taeniolata Quadras & Möllendorf, 1894 from Mariana Islands ( Solem & Haas 1964; Burch & Van Devender 1980).
