A sample of 61 larvae of this small species from Site 12a was fixed for IIS-3 ( Fig. 8A View Figure 8 ) and IIL-1 ( Fig. 9 View Figure 9 ) of Basrur (1959). The sex chromosomes were undifferentiated and only one rare polymorphism, a heteroband in section 11, was detected ( Table 7). Larvae, especially when mature (i.e. with dark gill histoblasts), typically had at least several nuclei with ectopic pairing of the telomeres of any two to four of the six arms.
