Hyla genimaculata Horst, 1883 .

Holotype: RMNH 4420 according to Miracle et al. (2007). Type locality: Gebeh Island , West Papua Province, Indonesia . We have examined the holotype, and fresh material collected from Waigeo Island that allowed DNA sequencing of this species. Material from Waigeo Island : Male SVL is 37.1–38.6 mm (n = 6).

Call is a series of soft ticking notes. Dermal fringes on limbs poorly defined, fingers only part-webbed ( Figure 4C, E, F ).
