Taxonomic note. Chen (1982, 1999) recorded M. ceylonica Hampson, 1903 View in CoL from Hainan and Guangdong, Southern China.After a detailed comparison, we concluded that M. ceylonica sensu Chen (1982 View in CoL , 1999) is an unknown species differs from the true ceylonica View in CoL by the smaller size and the larger discal spot on hindwing upperside, pending future study. Therefore this species is deleted from the current list.
