Description. Female. Body length 1.0− 1.2 mm. Body generally dark brown with green or blue-green sheen; antenna dark brown except F6 brownish-yellow; fore wing distinctly infuscate with a hyaline spot beneath parastigma and two hyaline spots beyond stigmal vein ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 45 − 50. 45 − 50 ); fore leg with coxa yellowish, femur and tibia largely dark brown ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 45 − 50. 45 − 50 ); mid leg yellowish except coxa, femur subapically, and tibia subbasally dark brown ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 45 − 50. 45 − 50 ); hind leg with coxa, almost entire femur, and tibia dark brown except tibia with basal fourth and apical third yellow ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 45 − 50. 45 − 50 ).
Head. Frontovertex about 1/4 head width; ocelli forming an angle of about 50°; posterior ocellus half its own diameter from eye margin, and separated from occipital margin by 2 × its own diameter; antenna ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 45 − 50. 45 − 50 ) with scape about 4 × as long as broad; F1−F3 slightly transverse, F4−F6 subquadrate or F4 sometimes slightly broader than long; clava about as long as funicle; mandible quadridentate.
Thorax. Fore wing ( Fig. 46 View FIGURES 45 − 50. 45 − 50 ) about 2.3 × as long as broad; marginal vein nearly 4 × as long as broad, conspicuously longer than stigmal vein; postmarginal vein short or nearly absent.
Gaster. Gaster slightly longer than thorax; ovipositor sheaths ( Fig. 50 View FIGURES 45 − 50. 45 − 50 ) very slightly exserted, by about 1/9 gaster length.
Relative measurements. MT 45, OL 56, GL 15.
Male. Unknown.

Distribution. China.
Holotype. Ψ ( IZCAS), CHINA: Sichuan, Dujiangyan (Qingcheng Mt.), 9.viii.2006, coll. X. Wang.
Paratypes. China: same data as holotype (2 ΨΨ).
Comments. Adelencyrtus orientalis is similar to A. brachycaudae in general habitus, but can be separated from the latter as follow: F1−F3 transverse (F1−F4 transverse in A. brachycaudae ); fore wing with a hyaline spot beneath parastigma (without a hyaline spot beneath parastigma in A. brachycaudae ).
