Mutilla cyaneiventris André, 1896: 18 , ♂. Type locality: “North China”. Holotype, ♂ [Hungarian National Museum, Budapest, Hungary].

Smicromyrme cyaneiventris: Mickel 1933: 320 , ♂; Yasumatsu 1948: 73, ♂; Hammer 1949: 11, ♂; Chen 1957: 203, ♂♀. Sinotilla cyaneiventris: Lelej 1995b: 20 , ♀; Lelej 2002: 63, ♂♀; Lelej 2005: 54, ♂♀.

Diagnosis. FEMALE. This species can be separated from other species of group 4 by the following combination of characters: F1 not slender, almost equal F2, with ratio between length and width of pedicel (in dorsal view), F1–F2 = 20:17:30:28:25:28, respectively; metasomal segment 1 yellowish red, without bands of setae.

Head entirely black, covered with pale golden setae. In dorsal view, outline of head semicircular with anterior margin moderately protruding, 1.44 times wider than long; lateral margins weakly convergent posteriorly behind FIGURES 31–36. Sinotilla spp., ♀♀, head. 31–32. S. lambirensis Lelej. 33–34. S. yakushimensis (Yasumatsu) . 35–36. S. cyaneiventris (André) . 31, 33, 35. Dorsal view; 32, 34, 36. Lateral view.

eye; posterior margin incurved. In lateral view, head longitudinally elongated; frons weakly bending in lateral view; gena comparatively wide in lateral view with GOI = 1.25. Scape, pedicel and F1–F3 completely yellowish red; F4–F6 yellowish red on ventral face, black on dorsal face; F7–F10 completely black. Mesosoma entirely yellowish red, covered with pale golden setae; lateral margins weakly convergent posteriorly; scutellar scale narrow, about twice the diameter of nearby punctures. Legs yellowish red. Metasoma oval, black except segment 1 yellowish red; S2–S6 each with apical fringe of long pale golden setae.

Material examined. 1♀, Lienhwatung, Lushan, Jiangxi, China, 24.V.1941, S. Asahina collection, A.S. Lelej det. 1995. [NSMT-I-Hym No. 2 3579].

Distribution. China: Hebei, Shanxi, Neimenggu, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Yunnan.

Remarks. Females of this species are similar to those of S. pekiniana in having the characters of group 4.
