Group of Mischocyttarus picturatus Bequaert View in CoL
Also includes M. porantin sp. n. from Bujarú, PA, Brazil and M. timbira sp. n. from Tabocas and Urbano Santos, MA, Brazil. While the latter species is more similar in color to M. picturatus , M. porantin is in this respect very similar to M. injucundus . The group may be recognized by reduction of the occipital carina and by the round apex of the clypeus, together with a normally elongated first metasomal segment whose sternum is flattened. The clypeus is also unusually wide and the sculpture of mesopleuron is rather coarse.
