Anthomyia comis Stein 1911: 155 View in CoL . Type locality: Chile, Tacna. Malloch 1934: 174 (catalogue), Albuquerque 1953: 543 (catalogue), Pont 1974: 2 (catalogue).

Diagnosis. Ground-color dark brown, with areas of golden pruinosity. Eyes ciliated. Golden pruinosity on notopleural region. Legs dark brown. Dorsocentral setae 2+3. Prealar seta short, half of anterior notopleural seta length. Katepisternal setae 1+3. Vein dm-cu straight. Vein A 1 +CuA 2 reaching the wing margin. Wing hyaline.

Laroca col. ( DZUP). Santa Catarina: 1 ♂, Itajaí, EMPASC, ix.1988, C. Palos- chi col. ( DZUP).
