Euseius ovaloides (Blommers) ( Fig. 29 )

Amblyseius (Amblyseius) ovaloides Blommers, 1974: 147 FEMALE (Specimens measured – Reunion: 5).

Dorsum – Dorsal shield strongly lineated anteriorly and laterally, 324­340 long and 227­258 wide. Setae j1 28­34, j3 9, j4 6, j5 6, J2 6­9, J5 6, z2 8­9, z4 8­9, z5 6, Z1 8­9, Z4 6­9, Z5 50­54, s4 13, S2 8­9, S4 8­9, S5 6­8, r3 9, R1 8­9. Dorsal setae very short and smooth, except j1 and Z5 which are much longer. Setae Z5 also serrated.

Peritreme – Reaching level of setae j3.

Venter – All ventral shields smooth. Distances between ST1­ST3 50, ST2­ST2 61­63, ST5­ST5 63­69. A single pair of metapodal shields, it appears as if the primary and secondary shields are fused. Ventrianal shield 98­104 long and 44­50 wide at ZV2 level and 71­74 at anus level.

Chelicera – Movable digit about 25 long, with one tooth; fixed digit also about 25 long, with one or 2 teeth.

Spermatheca ­ Calyx tubular, 9­13 long and atrium kidney­shaped.

Legs – Macrosetae sharp­tipped: Sge III 22­28, Sge IV 38­39, StiIII 19­22, Sti IV 35, St IV 47­60; chaetotaxy of genu II 2­2/0, 2/0­1, genu III 1­2/1,2/0­1. MALE (Specimens measured – Reunion: 4).

Dorsum – Dorsal shield 243­268 long and 190­214 wide. Setae j1 25­32, j3 9, j4 6, j5 6, j6 6, J2 6­8, J5 5­6, z2 6­9, z4 6, z5 6, Z1 6, Z4 6, Z5 35­41, s4 11­13, S2 6, S4 6, S5 6, r3 9, R1 6­8

Peritreme – Reaching anterolaterad of setae z4.

Venter – Ventrianal shield 85­101 long, 126­154 wide at anterior corners. Chelicera – Shaft of spermatodactyl 22­25 long
