Description. Body length (including forewing): ♂, 6.5–7.0 mm. Crown ( Figs 11, 13 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) off-white, with large irregular black patch on anterior portion extending to ocelli. Face ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ) off-white, only frontoclypeus median longitudinal carina blackish ochreous, and enlarged to a small rounded spot at apex, oblique lateral striations indistinct. Pronotum and scutellum ( Figs 1, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ) off-white, forewing ( Figs 11, 12 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) yellow, with thick black band extended from pronotum lateral margin to apex of forewing. Pronotum ( Figs 1, 3 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ) posterior margin yellow to off-white.
Aedeagus ( Figs 17, 18 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ), shaft in dorsal view gradually narrowed to truncate apex, ventral and dorsal apophysis in lateral view broad and short, ventral apophysis concave at apex. Style ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) apophysis in ventral view Fshaped. Connective ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ) stem in ventral view with lateral tooth at middle. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ) elongate, expanded medially, macrosetae irregularly distributed, rows of elongate setae near interior submargin.
Type material. THAILAND: Holotype: ♂ ( QSBG), ChiangMai Doi Phahompok NP Kiewiom 2 montane forest, 20°3.331′N 99°8.552′E, 2112 m, Malaise trap, 11–18.VII.2007, Komwuan Srisom. Paratypes: 1♂ ( QSBG), Mae Hong Son Namtok Mae Surin NP Besiae Small stream, 19°20.803′N 97°59.014′E, 293 m, Malaise trap, 28.X.–4.xi.2007, Areer at Kumkhun; 2♂♂ ( NWAFU), same data as holotype except 7–14.IX.2007, Komwuan Srisom & Prasit Wongchai; 1♂ ( NWAFU), ChiangMai Doi Phahompok NP Kiewiom 1/ montane forest, 20°3.549′N 99°8.552′E, 2174 m, Malaise trap, 31.VII.–7.VIII.2007, Wongchai P.; 1♂ ( INHS), same data as holotype except 7–14.VIII.2007, Komwuan Srisom & Prasit Wongchai; 1♂ ( INHS), same data as holotype except 1: montane forest, 20°3.455′N 99°8.551′E, 2174 m, 7–14.VIII.2007.
Remarks. This species is easy distinguished from other species of Angustuma Xing & Li, 2013 by the contrasting yellow and black parallel longitudinal dorsal stripes. Its male genitalia are very similar to those of A. rudorsuma Xing & Li, 2013 , but the shapes of aedeagal ventral and dorsal apophysis ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 11 – 20 ) in lateral view are different.
Etymology. The specific epithet, a combination of “flavus” meaning yellow, and “nigra” meaning black, refers to the dorsal coloration yellow and black.
