Material examined. Vietnam: Đồng Nai (near Cát Tiên National Park)— Callosciurus finlaysonii flavimanus , Tupaia belangeri (November 2014, 17 larvae), Quảng Bình (Lệ Thủy, Lâm Thǔy, Tân Lý)— Bandicota indica , Rattus andamanensis , Tupaia belangeri (March 2017, 4 larvae), Tuyen Quang (near Na Hang)— Neotetracus sinensis , Dremomys ornatus (April 2017, 12 larvae), Thừa Thiên-Huḗ (Nam Đông, Thuong Long)— Chiromyscus chiropus (December 2019, 1 larvae).
Distribution. China, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, (Traub & Lakshana 1966; Vercammen-Grandjean & Langston 1976; Wang & Yu 1992; Chaisiri et al. 2016), Vietnam: Cao Bằng (Ba Bể); Nghệ An (Phủ Quỳ)— Tupaia sp. ( Schluger et al. 1960a); Ha Giang — Rattus tanezumi (= R. r. sladeni ), Nghệ An (Phủ Quỳ = Phủ Quí) — Tupaia belangeri (= Tupaia glis modesta ), Niviventer tenaster (= R. niviventer lotipes ), Rattus tanezumi (= R. flavipectus ) ( Grochovskaja 1967; Stekolnikov 2021). Hosts with no locality indicated: Callosciurus erythraeus , Dremomys rufigenis , Rattus sp. ( Chau et al. 2007).
Remarks. Specimens collected in Tuyen Quang province similar with L. arvinum by the shape of scutum, but differ by the number of branched setae on palps (fPp = B(b)/b(B)/Bb(N)N vs. fPp = N/N/BNN) ( Vercammen-Grandjean & Langston 1976; Stekolnikov 2013).
