Material examined. Vietnam: Nghe An (Hoa Binh, near Pu Mat National Park )— Rhizomys pruinosus (May 2018, 6 larvae) , Thanh Hoa (Muong Lat, Phu Nhi, Hua Pu )— Rattus losea Swinhoe (April 2019, 1 larva) , Thanh Hoa (Muong Lat, Phu Nhi, Ca Noi )— Niviventer mekongis (April 2019, 1 larva) .
Distribution. Thailand ( Stekolnikov 2021). It is possible, that this species was reported by Schluger (1960) as Gahrliepia tenella — Vietnam: Thanh Hoa, Nghệ An (Phủ Quỳ)— Rattus sp. , China – Myanmar border— Rattus tanezumi Temminck (= Rattus flavipectus yunnanensis ).
Remarks. Examined speciemens have more scutal setae than in the original description (9–12 vs. 8) (Traub & Morrow 1957).
