Differs from var. trita in having longer racemes and flowers, shorter, broader, compact and deflexed pods.
Type:— INDIA. Maharashtra: Poona Dist., Purandhar, H. Santapau 11398, 9 October 1950, (holotype BLAT!).
Phenology:— Fls. August–November; Frts. October–November
Distribution INDIA: Maharashtra; endemic.
Habitat:— Slopes of dry hills between 800 and 900 m.
