Diagnosis. Cercal plate long, more or less triangular and produced into a single long narrow process in distal third or quarter. Surstylus deeply bifurcate, the inner arm in caudal view closely following the margin of cercal plate. Processes of sternite 5 with spinous setae.

Species included in this group from China are B. longifurca Fan in Fan et al., 1981, and B. varicolor ( Meigen, 1826) .
