Diagnosis. Cercal plate extended distally almost to level of apices of surstyli and divided into two slender submedian processes, these processes often nearly as long as length of proximal part of cercal plate. Sternite 5 with a tuft of setae on processes, either in distal quarter ( B. cylindrophalla , B. quinlani ), or two pairs of tufts ( B. emeisencio ), or with tufts on inner margin of processes ( B. karibae , B. seneciella ). Surstylus long and slen- der, either forked or simple apically.

Species included in this group from China include B. adentata ( Deng, 1983) , B. cylindrophalla ( Deng, 1983) , B. emeisencio ( Deng, 1983) , B. qinghaisenecio (Fan in Fan et al., 1984a), and B. quinlani ( Ackland, 1967) .
