Lice of Menacanthus identified to the generic level only were reported from Anthus pratensis (L.), A. trivialis (L.), Charadrius dubius Scopoli , Coccothraustes coccothraustes (L.)*, Dendrocopos syriacus (Hemprich & Ehrenberg) , Galerida cristata (L.), Lanius minor Gmelin , L. senator L., Lullula arborea (L.), Motacilla cinerea Tunstall and Phylloscopus collybitus (Vieillot) (see Balát, 1958; Touleshkov, 1961a, 1962, 1964a, 1974; Ilieva, 2005).
