Synonym: Anatoecus tadornae Eichler [1].
Hosts: Mergus serrator L. [1]; Tadorna tadorna (L.) [1].
Distribution in Bulgaria: Samokov Region, Sofia [1].
Lice of Anatoecus identified to the generic level only were reported from Anas querquedula L. by Touleshkov (1964a). In the latter paper, the studied lice were mentioned as Anaticola sp. (lapsus calami?) The relevant material in the collection was correctly labelled as Anatoecus sp.
