Augochlora bari Dominique, 1898 is transferred to Augochloropsis bari ( Dominique, 1898) View in CoL comb.n.
Acknowledgments. Pierre Watelet, Director of the Museum in Nantes, and François Meurgey, curator of entomology in the same institution, kindly provided access to material under their care. The following colleagues confirmed our identifications J. S. Ascher, J. M. F. Camargo, G. A. R. Melo, D. Urban, and F. Vivallo, while C. D. Michener first inspired our inquiry and A. Pauly facilitated our collaboration. Gerardo Lamas provided valuable comments to the manuscript and detailed biographical notes on Constant Bar. The manuscript was further improved by comments from V. H. González, A. R. Deans, and an anonymous reviewer. Material for comparison was made available for study by the following institutions and curators: Illinois Natural History Survey (Champaign, IL, C. Favret), Museo Nacional de Historia Natural (Lima, Peru, G. Lamas), National Museum of Natural History (Washington D.C., D. Furth, B. Harris), and Natural History Museum-Lawrence (KS, C. D. Michener, M. S. Engel). CR was supported by a National Science Foundation grant (DEB 0446325) to Sydney A. Cameron.
