Paratype: 1 [unknown sex]. USA: Florida, Alachua Co., 28/VI/1938. Col. H. K. Wallace; from burrow of Geomys floridana .

Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved.

Additional notes: Current synonym of Blackburneus geomysi (Cartwright, 1939) (see Gordon & Skelley, 2007).
