Paratype: 1 ♂. MEXICO: Distrito Federal, R. Cuicuilco, San Ángel, 14/VII/1956, col. Noc. Conservation status: Complete, well-preserved; genitalia and wing glued on a card. Additional notes: The name of this species has recently been replaced with Photinus alexi , to avoid
homonymy with P. macdermotti Lloyd, 1966 .
