Type species Mesitius cursor Kieffer, 1906 , by original designation and monotypy.
Codorcas has one valid species and recorded from Palaearctic region. The genus is characterized by having: the male antenna with pubescence short, the head with foveae sparse, the male anterior ocellus placed at imaginary top line of eyes, the pronotal disc with foveae sparse or absent, the propodeal disc without inner discal carina, the male hypopygium wider than long, with anterior margin acute, posterior margin unilobate without median indentation.
