Type species Mesitius moczari Nagy, 1968 , by original designation.
Anaylax has ten valid species, nine recorded from Palaearctic region and one from Afrotropical region. The genus are characterized by having the male antenna with pubescence medium-sized, the head and pronotal disc with foveae sparse or absent, the male anterior ocellus placed at imaginary top line of eyes, the male hypopygium wider than long, with anterior margin acute, posterior margin bilobate with median indentation short and branches lobate.
