Clytrovorus has eight valid species, seven recorded from Palaearctic region and one recorded to Afrotropical region. The genus is characterized by having: the male antenna with pubescence medium-sized, the head with foveae sparse or absent, the male anterior ocellus placed posterad to imaginary top line of eyes, the pronotal disc without foveae, the propodeal disc without sublateral carina, and without lateral carina on females, the male hypopygium longer than wide, with anterior margin acute, posterior margin bilobate with median indentation short and branches lobate.
