Synonyms: Trachypithecus (Trachypithecus) belliger (Wroughton 1915) .
Distribution: Burma, east of Chindwin River; Gongshan (Yunnan, China).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered as T. pileatus shortridgei .
Discussion: T. pileatus species group. Separated from pileatus by Groves (2001 c).
