Group of Thoracophorus filum Sharp, 1887 View in CoL
The group of Thoracophorus filum Sharp, 1887 is characterised by their minute size; they are smaller than 2.0 mm. Beside the small size, the species can be differentiated from other species of the genus by the eyes visible in dorsal aspect, the even margin of the pronotum that is not denticulate or has large teeth or processes. In particular, the swellings of the head as well as the pronotal depression with its central swelling and the elytral carinae are absent or extremely weak. Currently, the following three species are included in the group.
