Euscyrtus Guerin, 1884 . Icon. R. anim., Ins.: 334.
Body slender, long; vertex produced, frontal rostrum short; eyes expand distinctly, ocelli arranged in triangle; antennal socket very large, antenna massive, quadrate, apical part wider than of base. Metanotum without concavity; tegmen proceeding to abdominal segment III, veins parallel; fore- and middle legs short, fore tibia without tympanum on inner lateral; hind femur slender, long, hind tibia margined with spines, i/o= 9–10/ 8; apical spurs outer ones shorter equal in length, inner one longer; claw margined with teeth. Ovipositor slender, long, apical part curved downward, acute at apex.
