Diagnosis. Ecnomina incisura is most similar to E. specensis from which it can be separated by the slightly narrower, fused inferior appendages and small details in the shape of the superior appendages.

Description. Head, body and wings light brown; wings similar to E. scutica ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–6 ) and E. legula ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–6 ). Forewing length about 2.8 times width: male 4.8–5.1 mm. Forewing fork 2 relatively long, sessile or with short footstalk, length footstalk up to 0.4 times length cross-vein m, nygma present, length fork 2 about 1.1– 1.2 times length of fork 3; fork 3 relatively long, sessile, r-m and m not contiguous at fork 3 by about 2.7–3.2 times length cross-vein m; fork 4 similar length to fork 3; fork 5 long, length about 1.8 times length of fork 4. Hindwing length about 2.6 times width, fork 2 with short footstalk, length footstalk 0.4–0.6 times length cross-vein m, fork 2 length about 1.2 times length of fork 3.

Male. Tergum X membranous with a pair of triangular lobes distally, separated by a wide mesal split ( Fig. 74 View FIGURES 69–74 ). Superior appendages with base displaced ventrally; in lateral view, narrowed basally, dilated and sub quadrate distally, with a small hooked process meso-distally ( Figs 72–74 View FIGURES 69–74 ). Phallus generally tube-like; with a single, robust, bifid process (phallic guide) arising from near the base of the inferior appendages ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 69–74 ). Inferior appendages strongly dorso-ventrally compressed; in ventral view, fused, broad, sub quadrate, length about 0.5 times width, with a small central notch distally ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 69–74 ); in lateral view, robust, rounded distally ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 69–74 ).
