Material examined. INFUECO stations: BC3 0611, 1 specimen 80 m depth.
Habitat. The species has been cited in the Canary Islands as endobiont of demosponges in shallow bottoms ( Pascual & Núñez 1999), also it has been found as epibiont of the gorgonian Eunicella verrucosa and in rhizomes of Posidonia oceanica ( San Martín 2003) .
Distribution. North Pacific Ocean, from Alaska to Panamá, Japan and Chuckchi Sea; Indonesia; Amphi-Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea ( Aguado et al. 2008).
