Material examined. INFUECO stations: BC17 0611, 2 specimens, 833 m depth. INCOECO stations: BC12 0611, 1 specimen, 998 m depth.

Habitat. In sandy and muddy sediments, between 306 to 1100 m depth ( San Martín et al. 1996; San Martín 2003).

Distribution. Cantabrian Sea, Bay of Biscay (Capbreton Canyon), Aegean Sea ( San Martín 2003), Amanay Bank, to the south of Fuerteventura and Conception Bank to the north of Lanzarote (Canary Islands). The species is recorded for the first time in the Canary Islands.
