Relation to host. Galls, vagrant.
Distribution. China (Gansu, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Jilin, Shaanxi, Tibet, Xinjiang), Europe, East Palearctic, Near East, Nearctic region, Oriental region.
Note. This species occurred together with Aculops salixis Xue, Song & Hong, 2007 . This is probably another species complex that is composed of several very similar species.
