Description. FEMALE: (n = 2, dorsal view) Body fusiform, 148–152, 69–70 wide; light yellow. Gnathosoma 13– 15, projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 2–3, dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 5–6, cheliceral stylets 12–13. Prodorsal shield 51–52, 67–69 wide, admedian and submedian lines incomplete and parallel; anterior shield lobe broad. Scapular tubercles on rear shield margin, 33–35 apart, scapular setae (sc) 7–8, projecting posterior. Coxigenital region with 16–17 smooth annuli. Coxal plates with short lines, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 9–10, 11–12 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 14–15, 8–9 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 18–20, 21–23 apart, tubercles 1b and 1a apart 7–8, tubercles 1a and 2a 5–6 apart. Prosternal apodeme absent. Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 25–27, femur 10–11, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 7–8; genu 3–4, antaxial genual seta (l ') 15–17; tibia 5–6, paraxial tibial seta (l ') 2–3, located at 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 5– 6, seta ft ' 15–16, seta ft ' 15–17, seta u ' 3–4; tarsal empodium (em) 5–6, simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 7–8, knobbed. Leg І 23–25, femur 8–9, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 6–7; genu 3–4, antaxial genual seta (l ') 4–5; tibia 5–6; tarsus 5–6, seta ft ' 4–5, seta ft ' 18–20, seta u ' 3–4; tarsal empodium (em) 5–6, simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 5–6, knobbed. Opisthosoma: dorsally with 17 annuli, with three ridges, ventrally with 56–58 annuli, with elliptical microtubercles on rear annular margins. Setae c2 18–20 on ventral annulus 12–13, 55–57 apart; setae d 48–53 on ventral annulus 23–24, 32–35 apart; setae e 8–10 on ventral annulus 35–36, 12–13 apart, setae f 23–25 on 5th ventral annulus from rear, 18–20 apart. Setae h1 2–3, h2 56–60. Female genitalia 10–11, 18– 20 wide, coverflap with 9 longitudinal ridges, setae 3a 15–17, 16–17 apart.

MALE: (n = 1, dorsal view) Body fusiform, 129, 55 wide; light yellow. Gnathosoma 13, projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 2, dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 5, cheliceral stylets 10. Prodorsal shield 45, 53 wide, admedian and submedian lines incomplete and parallel; anterior shield lobe broad. Scapular tubercles on rear shield margin, 28 apart, scapular setae (sc) 6, projecting posterior. Coxigenital region with 13 smooth annuli. Coxal plates with short lines, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 8, 10 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 21, 7 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 32, 20 apart, tubercles 1b and 1a apart 6, tubercles 1a and 2a 6 apart. Prosternal apodeme absent. Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 23, femur 8, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 6; genu 3, antaxial genual seta (l ') 16; tibia 5, paraxial tibial seta (l ') 3, located at 1/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 5, seta ft ' 20, seta ft ' 18, seta u ' 3; tarsal empodium (em) 5, simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 6, knobbed. Leg І 20, femur 6, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 8; genu 3, antaxial genual seta (l ') 4; tibia 5; tarsus 5, seta ft ' 5, seta ft ' 180, seta u ' 3; tarsal empodium (em) 5, simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 6, knobbed. Opisthosoma: dorsally with 17 annuli, with three ridges, ventrally with 52 annuli, with elliptical microtubercles on rear annular margins. Setae c2 12 on ventral annulus 11, 43 apart; setae d 42 on ventral annulus 20, 30 apart; setae e 12 on ventral annulus 32, 14 apart, setae f 19 on 5th ventral annulus from rear, 13 apart. Setae h1 2, h2 68. Male genitalia 17 wide, setae 3a 14, 13 apart.

Material examined. 2 females and 1 male (slide number NJAUAcariEriH63-2), from Ulmus sp. L. ( Ulmaceae ), Harbin City , Heilongjiang Province, P. R. China, 26 July 2008, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue, Zhen Wang & Zi- Wei Song .

Hosts. Ulmus davidiana var. japonica (Sarg. ex Rehder) Nakai , Ulmus densa Litv. , Ulmus glabra Huds. , Ulmus laevis Pall. , Ulmus minor Mill. , Ulmus sp. (Ulmaceae) .

Relation to host. Vagrant on leaf surface. No damage to the host was observed.

Distribution. China (Heilongjiang), England, Hungary, Iran, Japan, Portugal.

Note. This species occurred together with Peralox dentatis sp. nov.
