Diagnosis. Males of A. insignis resemble those of most species of the group pinhao by PA continuous to Pac and differ from those of A. pinhao ( Fig. 32 View FIGURE 32 A–C) by the lateral tegular swelling above PA in prolateral view, from A. paraitinga ( Fig. 59 View FIGURE 59 A–C) by serrated area at embolus base, from A. hirsutus ( Fig. 38 View FIGURE 38 A–C) and A. pinhao by the hirsute legs, and from A. hirsutus and A. cornelli ( Fig. 62 View FIGURE 62 A–C) by the PA continuous to PI. Females differ from those of A. pampulha ( Fig. 49 D View FIGURE 49 ) and A. candango ( Fig. 54 D View FIGURE 54 ) by the pore distribution reaching 75–100% of the receptacle length; and from A. paraitinga ( Fig. 59 D View FIGURE 59 ) by the absence of lateral swellings on the receptacles, which are bilobed, with lateral lobes longer than inner lobes.
