4. Millettia erythrocalyx Gagnepain (1913: 356) View in CoL
Type: — THAILAND. La-khon [Nakhon Phanom Province], de Bang-muc a La-khon, C. Thorel 3102 (first-step lectotype designated by Craib 1928: 389, second-step lectotype designated here: P 02141802 image!; isolectotypes: BM000997281 !, BO-1734993!, E00275468 !, K000848792 !, P 02141803 image!) .
= Millettia verruculosa Gagnepain (1913: 366) View in CoL . Type : — LAOS. plateau d’Attopeu, February 1877, F. J. Harmand 1111 (lectotype designated here: P02141798 image!; isolectotype: P02141797 image!).
Gagnepain (1913) cited three collections (C. Thorel 3120, F. J. Harmand 357 and L. Pierre 1034) in the protologue of M. erythrocalyx , of which Thorel 3120 was indicated by Craib (1928) as type (first-lectotype, see Art. 9.17 Ex. 14, Turland et al. 2018). Lôc & Vidal (2001) indicated Thorel 3102 (not 3120) from P as the lectotype, but this lectotypification was made after 1 January 2001 and did not use the phrase “designated here” or an equivalent. Thus, the lectotypification by Lôc & Vidal (2001) was not effective according to the Art. 7.11 ( Turland et al. 2018). We traced two specimens of Thorel 3102 in P, and designate the specimen (P02141802) as the second-step lectotype of M. erythrocalyx . In addition, in the protologue of M. verruculosa Gagnepain (1913) just cited a single gathering (F. J. Harmand 1111). Lôc & Vidal (2001) indicated that Harmand 1111 (P) is its “ holotype ”, but this typification was not effective (see Art. 7.11). There are two specimens of this collection in P (as syntypes according to Art. 40.2 Ex. 3), and we designate one of them (P02141798) as the lectotype of M. verruculosa due to its better conserved status.
