Monohele a (Monohelea) macfiei Wirth, 1953b: 143 (Louisiana) ; Wilkening et al. 1985: 524 (Florida records). Monohelea macfiei: Borkent and Grogan 2009: 20 (in Nearctic catalog; distribution).

Discussion. Wilkening et al. (1985) presented the first record of this wide ranging Nearctic species from Florida (Indian River Co). We provide the first records from Franklin, Jefferson, Highlands and Lee counties.

New records. Franklin Co., nr. Sumatra, Rights’ Lake , G. B. Fairchild, B. L. trap, 1 female ( FSCA). Jefferson Co., Monticello, W. H. Whitcomb, IV-1969, B. L. trap, 2 females ; same data except IX-1969, 2 females, 1 male ; same data except X-1969, 1 male ( FSCA). Highlands Co., Lake Placid , Archbold Biological Station , Sept. 1990, W. W. Wirth, at UV light, 1 female ( FSCA). Lee Co. , Sanibel Island, 11 May 1973, W. W. Wirth, light trap, 1 female ( FSCA) .
