Types

Holotype, female, China: Shaanxi Province, Foping County, 33°30.48’N, 107°58.52’E. September 5, 2004, from Lindera glauca (Sieb. & Zucc.) Blume (Lauraceae) , coll. Xue, XiaoFeng & Song, ZiWei. Paratypes, 7 females, with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host

Mites are vagrant on the undersurface of leaves, causing no apparent damage.

Note

This species is similar to Calepitrimerus bungeanus Kuang, Luo & Wang, 2005 , but can be differentiated by median and admedian lines connected (median and admedian lines separate in C. bungeanus ), prosternal apodeme absent (prosternal apodeme present in C. bungeanus ) and empodium 6rayed (empodium 3rayed in C. bungeanus ) and female genital coverflap with 10 longitudinal ridges (female genital coverflap smooth in C. bungeanus ).
