Vernacular Names: Tate's Triok.

Distribution: Fergusson Isl; Papua New Guinea.

Conservation: IUCN – Endangered. Rare.

Discussion: Considered a subspecies of trivirgata by Ziegler (in Stonehouse and Gilmore, 1977:131); considered a distinct species by G. G. George (1979:94).
