Basionym: Crocodeilanthe asymmetrica Kolanowska & Szlachetko (2020: 108-109) View in CoL .
Notes:— This species was said to be “easily distinguishable from all other representatives of the genus by asymmetric flowers, completely fused, glabrous lateral sepals fused unequally with the dorsal sepal and linear-lanceolate petals prominently thickened in the apical half” and indeed that is the case because this is not a species of Stelis subgen. Crocodeilanthe but rather a member of Pleurothallis View in CoL . The completely fused, glabrous sepals, lanceolate petals that are apically thickened and lack of inflated basal bracts on the ramicaul are unlike any species of the former but common in the latter.
