( Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 G, 9)

Diagnosis. The separated lobes of the broad uncus in the male genitalia and the indistinct dl easily distinguish this species from other Psecadioides .

Description. Male. Head: Vertex and frons covered with dense, erect, yellowish white scales, lightly mixed gray. Antenna [broken] ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 G) with scape pale white without pectin; flagellum dark fuscous. Maxillary palpus very short, indistinct. Second segment of labial palpus with dense white scales mesally, dark gray scales laterally; lateral bristles absent. Thorax: Dorsally yellowish white, except anterior black. Legs with scales missing. Forewing length 5.2 mm; forewing rather elongate, slightly rounded apically, about 3.2 x as long as wide including fringe (about 2.9 x as long as wide excluding fringe); ground color yellowish white, three median black spots approximately uniformly distributed along costa; apex obtuse, termen obliquely rounded; black spot at apex of discal. Fringe short in apical region, long in termen, consisting of yellowish white scales irrorated with black at the apex; all veins present and separate, R1 arising from 1/4 of discal cell; R5 terminating at termen near apex; 1A+2A 3.0 x as long as 1A; chorda present, extending to crossvein R-M. Hindwing relatively elongate, rounded apically, 2.4 x as long as wide including fringe (3.4 x as long as wide excluding fringe); ground color yellowish white mixed with broad and narrow scales, except basal 3/4 of costa with slender brownish gray scales; fringe short, longer at basal posterior margin, consisting of yellowish white scales; crossvein M-CuA present, M branched in discal cell. Abdomen: Male genitalia ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ) with uncus complex, consisting of two distinct sclerotized lobes, dl indistinct; ll narrow, lanceolate in dorsal view, connected with dl; al and vl fused, strongly sclerotized, swollen, large, palmate. Gnathos developed, strongly sclerotized. Valva elongate, with median keel and distinct mesal projection; dense patch of long thick bristles in ventro-posterior half. Juxta absent. Aedeagus about 0.8 x length of valva; straight, inflated basally, cornuti absent. Female unknown.

Holotype, 3, China: Hainan, Yinggeling, 6.IX.2005, light trapping, L.S. Chen. Deposited in SCAU, China. Paratype, 13, same data as holotype. Deposited in HUNAU.

Host. Unknown.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality in southern China.

Etymology. The specific epithet is from the Latin prominens (= projection), referring to the distinct projection at the middle of the valva.
